DESCRIPTION

Three, two, one, we are LIVE! National Public Radio (NPR) has hundreds of affiliates across the nation but none as treasured as WAMU, Washington, DC's NPR station. How does the studio bring shows like 1A and The Politics Hour to thousands in the DMV every day? Join us for a tour through the studio as the WAMU team shares how they bring a story to life. 

The tour will begin property the morning of Wednesday, April 9th at 10AM. We will meet in the lobby of WAMU before the tour begins. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Apply project management skills in a tailored manner to alternative industries.
  • Learn how a radio project is engineered from inception to air. 
  • Study the unique project management process from live recording, to editing, to engineering, to live airing.
  • Business Acumen | 1.5 Total PDUs

PARKING | METRO
Those driving may utilize the One Parking garage located at 4301 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008, or the Colonial Parking garage located at 4455 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008. Both are less than a 2 minute walk from WAMU building.

Those taking the metro will get off at the Van Ness-UDC metro stations. The WAMU building is a 2 minute walk from the metro.
